FY8PE - Loïc

HamRadio in French Guiana

WELCOME TO MY WEBSITE : DXER, HOMEBREWER, SWL AND OTHERS

After have been licenced by the ANFR in France with the callsign F4GHA, I decided to try the CW licence in January 2012 and upgrade to F8GHA.

I’m cartographer/land surveyor and that’s why I’m in French Guiana since September 2011. In a first mission I was able to operate with the call FY/F4GHA, then FY/F8GHA. After few months my FY callsign was received : FY8PE.

FY is not a most wanted but there is always answers when I call CQ, it’s a really nice hamradio experience. My favorite radio activity is the simulation/contruction of antennas, but for that you need some space and tools so unfortunatly the 80m four square will not be my next project... And don’t forget that I’m not definitely in FY, that's why my antennas are cheap and quite simple.

Most of time I operate in CW and when propagation is really open I try some CQ in SSB. Sorry for the addicts but I’m not active in digital modes. I like QRP trip also !

On this website, you will also find my homebrews, I hope to help those like me who are still in the process of searching for information on their future technical projects.

This website is unpretentious, so have FUN !
